RUBY ONSEY
$575.00
Mixed media | Acyrlic wood panel, onesie | 14” x 20.5” | 2002
Many of my materials arrive by chance—wood panels salvaged from construction sites, discarded objects found on the street, or gifts from friends who know I’ll transform them into something new. In this case, my friend Miriam gave me her baby’s outgrown onesie, trusting me to reimagine it.
Using acrylic polymer, I shaped and fixed the fabric’s folds into place, creating a textured surface that rises and falls like a topographic landscape.
